We have noticed that some workshops are still using Android devices running Android 4.4.x. and 5.0.x.
These are outdated operating systems that are unfortunately no longer supported by Google. The internal browser on these devices can no longer be updated.
Google currently supports the following Android versions:
- Android 11
- Android 12
- Android 13
- Android 14
This means that these versions continue to receive security updates and bug fixes from Google. App developers can also choose to keep their apps running on these versions.
Android versions older than Android 11 no longer receive updates from Google. This means they are less secure and there may be compatibility issues with newer apps. It is therefore important to update your Android device to the latest version if possible.
You can check the version of your Android operating system in the Settings app. To do so, go to System > About the phone > Android version.
For this reason, Jifeline no longer supports Android versions lower than 11.
