The Android app cannot connect to the Jifeline standard interface via USB.
You might have a broken USB cable.
If you are using a USB adapter, make sure this adapter supports OTG!
Suitable adapters are available from us.
Before requesting a replacement USB cable, please take following steps:
- Check that the Jifeline standard interface is properly connected to the vehicle's OBD-II socket.
- Pin 16: battery voltage > 12 V
- Pin 4, 5: ground - Check as follows:
Connect the Jifeline standard interface to the OBD-II socket of the vehicle.
Disconnect the USB connection of the Jifeline standard interface on the Android device.
Make sure the status of the LEDs is as described below:
Hardware v5 (black OBD-II connector)
- The top LED lights continuously green.
- The bottom LED flashes green.
Hardware v6 or newer (orange OBD-II connector)
- The top LED lights constantly red.
- The bottom LED flashes green.
If the LEDs light up / flash differently, please contact Jifeline Remote Diagnostics.
One LED blinks constantly, others do not blink at all
The Jifeline standard interface has a critical failure and must be returned to Jifeline.
One LED flashes slowly (without interruption)
The Jifeline standard interface is in bootloader mode. Make sure the Jifeline standard interface is connected to the car and to the Android device (with an internet connection) to flash the Jifeline standard interface. This firmware update should start automatically.
One LED blinks slowly 3 times, followed by a small intermission
The Jifeline standard interface has crashed. Please contact Jifeline.
Code 11
Authentication error. There is a USB connection problem between the Jifeline standard interface and the Android device. The USB connection of the Android device is probably incorrect. Please try again with another Android device.
