LED Lights at the Ethernet Port of the J-ReX

On the top of the J-ReX, there are four LEDs. For more information, see our article LED Status Colors of the J-ReX.

On the side, near the Ethernet port, there are two additional LEDs. Each of these LEDs has a specific meaning and function. Below is an explanation:

LEDs on the side of the J-ReX (near the Ethernet port)

Orange LED:
This light turns on after the J-ReX is connected to the vehicle and indicates that the J-ReX is ready to establish a connection. It should remain on continuously, even when the J-ReX is connected to the internet.

What to do if the orange LED does not light up:

  1. Disconnect the OBD cable for 30 seconds and then reconnect it securely.
  2. If the LED still does not light up, perform a hard reset: press the reset button (bottom right at the back of the device) for 60 seconds using a reset pin or paperclip. During the reset, both side LEDs will turn off briefly while the LEDs on top continue to blink.
  3. Wait a moment, the J-ReX will now restart. Both side LEDs will light up again once the restart is complete.

Green LED:

  • Slow blinking: the J-ReX is ready to connect to the internet.
  • Fast blinking: the Remote has found the network and is attempting to connect.
  • Steady green: the J-ReX is successfully connected to the selected network.
